Africa– A full-flight simulator training center, owned by an airline and located in Africa, is currently seeking buyers for its decommissioned Boeing 737-500 Full Flight Simulator. The simulator, manufactured by CAE and commissioned in 1993, is being offered as-is and includes convertible capability to the B737-400 configuration.

The simulator was decommissioned in 2020 and is available for sale along with spare parts.Manufactured by CAE, the unit features a 6-axis hydrostatic motion system, wide FOV 180° x 40° visuals, and Tropos 6000 image generator.Core aircraft configuration includes:APU: GTCP36-28 (B) GarrettEngines: CFM 56B2 (B737-500) and CFM 56C1 (B737-400)Avionics: Honeywell AFCS, Collins EFIS, Smith Industries FMS 5.0Alerting Systems: CFIT, Windshear, Low Visibility CAT I/II/III, ATIS, EGPWS – Snow ModelComputer and visual systems:Host: IBM RISC 6000, Iris 4D25 instructor stationCRT touchscreen display and color printerVisual system: Barco LCoS projectorsPotential buyers may request more details or schedule an on-site inspection.
