Fiji –Fiji Airways Aviation Academy, an airline owned aviation academy and full flight simulator training center is seeking to hire for the role of Graduate Trainee – Flight Simulator Engineer to support the maintenance and operation of Full Flight Simulators (FFS), Flight Training Devices (FTD), and Cabin Crew Training Devices. This role provides structured on-the-job training under CAE experts, leading to advancement as a Flight Simulator Engineer within 12-18 months.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake training and qualification on various aircraft simulation systemsAssist in preventive and corrective maintenance of simulators and training devicesSupport diagnosis and troubleshooting of simulator faults using schematics and wiring diagramsMaintain hardware, software, and networking systems for training devicesAssist in system modifications and updates under technical supervisionComply with FJAA Compliance Management System
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Computer/Network Engineering ORTechnical Diploma/Level 4 Certificate in a relevant field with additional experienceAt least 1 year’s work experience in the degree or certification fieldStrong computer and software skills for troubleshooting and system supportAbility to interpret electrical/electronic schematics and diagrams
Preferred Skills & Knowledge
Knowledge of motion, control loading, and simulator visual systemsUnderstanding of aircraft operations and systemsExperience in analog/digital electronics, circuit board repair, and test equipment usageProficiency in computer architecture and networking
