USA – Elixir Aircraft, the French next-generation training aircraft manufacturer, has achieved a landmark US market entry milestone with its first aircraft successfully delivered to Cirrus Aviation in Sarasota, Florida — the first Elixir aircraft to physically arrive on American soil, ahead of the company's planned appearance at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026 in July.
- The aircraft was shipped from Elixir's La Rochelle, France, manufacturing facility and delivered to Cirrus Aviation's Sarasota, Florida base, with teams from both companies working to prepare the aircraft for its first American flight.
- The delivery represents the first aircraft from Cirrus Aviation's firm order for 10 Elixir aircraft, announced in January 2026 — making Cirrus Aviation the launch US customer for the French-manufactured training platform.
- Elixir Aircraft is preparing to showcase the aircraft at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026 (July 20-26), providing the first opportunity for American flight schools, operators, and pilots to experience the aircraft in person on US soil.
- The Elixir is a composite, next-generation two-seat training and touring aircraft designed as a modern alternative to legacy training platforms, featuring low fuel consumption, modern avionics, and a safety-focused design philosophy. The aircraft has secured orders from flight schools across Europe and is now physically entering the US flight training and general aviation market.
