First NVIS (Night Vision Imaging System) Flight Training Device Now Operational at RotorSky

Netherlands– multiSIM BV, a flight simulation technology developer, has achieved a global milestone with the successful EASA qualification of the world’s first Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS)-capable Flight Training Device (FTD 1) powered entirely by virtual reality (VR). The simulator is now operational at RotorSky GmbH and marks a significant advancement in immersive pilot training.

The NVIS-capable FTD 1 was developed in collaboration with RotorSky GmbH and JFJ GmbHIt is the first EASA-qualified simulator to operate fully on multiSIM BV’s proprietary VR simulation environment, D-World.The training system supports both day and night operations using Night Vision Goggles (NVG), offering an immersive and realistic flight experience for NVG procedures.The qualification meets EASA standards for civilian and military flight training, reinforcing its operational relevance.
