Australia – Cabin safety equipment manufacturer Flame Aviation has commissioned a V7000 Brigade™ VIEW cabin fire and smoke trainer at CrewSafety’s emergency procedures training facility in Tullamarine, Victoria.

  • This is Flame Aviation's first installation of the model in Australia.
  • The V7000 Brigade VIEW is designed for indoor installation and incorporates a large observation window, allowing additional trainees to observe exercises while two to three participants and an instructor complete scenarios inside the device.
  • The trainer measures approximately 9.0 metres long, 2.4 metres wide and 2.6 metres high. It can simulate fires involving laptops, smartphones, tablets, ovens, passenger seats, overhead luggage compartments and lavatory waste bins.
  • Training functions include controlled fire, smoke, heat, glowing hotspots, electrical short-circuit effects and smoke detection. The equipment package includes training extinguishers, an automatic extinguisher refilling system, a remote-control unit and an instructor interface.
  • CrewSafety states that the device can support live-fire response, smoke and heat exposure, confined-space scenarios, aircraft cabin fire response and emerging onboard risks such as lithium-battery fires.
  • The Tullamarine facility offers both wet-hire training delivered by CrewSafety instructors and dry-hire access for operators using their own instructors. Customers can combine the fire trainer with CrewSafety’s business-jet Cabin Emergency Evacuation Trainer.
  • CrewSafety is located at 41 Lambeck Drive in Tullamarine, near Melbourne Airport.
  • AFM previously reported that Malaysia Airlines introduced a V7000 Brigade VIEW at its Kuala Lumpur training centre in 2023 and that Korean Air subsequently selected the same model for cabin crew fire training.
