Flight Simulator Manufacturer HAVELSAN Acquires Another 737-8 FFS BSP from Boeing in 2025
Turkiye – headquartered flight simulator manufacturer HAVELSAN, has expanded its simulator manufacturing pipeline by acquiring another Boeing Simulator Package (BSP) for a Boeing 737 MAX-8 Full Flight Simulator (FFS). The agreement, signed directly with Boeing, marks a strategic shift in HAVELSAN’s simulator development model and strengthens its global positioning in the pilot training industry.
Statement
- “To date, our B737 MAX simulators have been developed using Buyer Furnished Data (BFD) provided by our customers. With this agreement, we will manage the development process by directly procuring the data package from Boeing for the simulator to be developed for a potential customer.“
Earlier this year in June, HAVELSAN announced that Turkish Airlines has placed a follow-on order of another Boeing 737 MAX Full Flight Simulator to be delivered in January 2026 – read more here. This expands the agreement signed with HAVELSAN in 2018, Turkish Airlines originally planned to procure a total of eleven training devices consisting of three A320neo/ceo, two B737 MAX Full Flight Simulators (FFS) and six Flight Training Devices (FTD).
In addition to manufacturing Boeing flight simulator’s HAVELSAN also operates Boeing flight devices with an example being its training center partnership with Turkish Airlines which operates Boeing devices in Ankara since 2023.
In 2024 HAVELSAN announced it would ramp up activities and support for airlines and simulator training centers including the ability to manufacturer up to eight full flight simulators per year as well as work with airlines to support them expanding their simulator training center operations through flexible solutions.
HAVELSAN is especially putting focus on providing industry leading after sales support, discussing with customers long-term cooperation projects and this has been well received by airlines and training centers with HAVELSAN currently having over six full flight simulators under construction.
