FlightLogger Adds Automated Training Prerequisites and Aircraft Model Certificate Controls

Global – Flight training management software provider FlightLogger has released a platform update introducing automated training prerequisites and aircraft-model certificate requirements, alongside additional scheduling, duty-time and training-record functions intended to move recurring compliance checks into flight schools’ daily digital workflows.

• FlightLogger platform is now used by more than 220 flight schools and aviation training organizations across more than 50 countries.
• The new Prerequisites functionality allows training organizations to define requirements that students must satisfy before progressing to subsequent training activities. FlightLogger had previously outlined support for session-based, hour-based, instructor-based and certification-based prerequisites when previewing the functionality in June 2026.
• Aircraft Model Certificate requirements connect instructor and crew eligibility more directly with scheduling. Flight schools can define certificate requirements for individual aircraft models, allowing schedulers to identify whether assigned personnel meet the relevant requirements before an activity takes place.
• The operational impact for training providers is the integration of checks that may otherwise be handled through spreadsheets, separate procedures or manual verification into the scheduling and student-progression workflow. The functionality is intended to reduce repetitive administrative checks as student, instructor, aircraft and location numbers increase.
• Other functions included in the September release allow multiple ground instructors to be assigned to a single lesson, provide more granular permissions for FlightLogger’s Business Insights functionality and enable students to generate and download their own Pilot Training Records in PDF format.
• FlightLogger has also expanded duty-time management and calendar visibility, including views of planned duty, actual duty and leave intended to give operations teams a clearer picture of instructor availability when scheduling training.
• AFM previously reported that FlightLogger introduced its integrated Ground Training LMS in March 2026 and subsequently moved its Combined Syllabus into production, bringing flight and ground training into one program structure.
