Global – FlightLogger, the flight school management software provider serving over 220 training organisations across more than 50 countries, has released a major platform update bringing its Combined Syllabus feature into production — enabling flight schools to manage flight and ground training within a single integrated program, alongside new migration tools, booking enhancements, and improved student progress visibility.
- The Combined Syllabus allows flight schools to manage flight and ground training within one unified program structure, replacing the fragmented approach of separate flight and ground syllabi, spreadsheets, and manual processes that create consistency, progression monitoring, and audit readiness challenges as organisations scale.
- A dedicated progress view provides instructors, administrators, and students with a consolidated overview of training completion across both flight and ground instruction, improving visibility into each student's training journey from a single interface.
- A new import tool enables existing FlightLogger customers to transfer content from current flight and ground programs into the Combined Syllabus structure in minutes, reducing implementation time and allowing organisations to adopt the new feature without rebuilding programs from scratch.
- Booking enhancements include configurable default colours for individual booking types (flight lessons, ground school sessions, exams, maintenance activities), direct student booking from the booking page for Combined Syllabus programs, and a repositionable booking widget that remembers each user's preferred screen location.
- The release lays the foundation for a forthcoming Prerequisites feature that will enable organisations to define session-based, hour-based, instructor-based, and certification-based requirements before students can progress — strengthening compliance and ensuring correct training sequencing.
Statements
- "The future of flight training isn't about adding more software. It's about connecting every part of the operation. The Combined Syllabus is a significant milestone in that vision. It brings flight training and ground training together in one connected workflow, giving organizations greater visibility while reducing administrative complexity," said Kasper Valgren, CEO at FlightLogger.
