flydubai Seeks to Recruit Deputy Chief Flight Instructor in 2026 for MPL Program

United Arab Emirates – flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier, is seeking to recruit a Deputy Chief Flight Instructor for its academy's Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) program, with responsibility for oversight of the Core Flying Phase and management of contracted training provider relationships.

  • The Deputy Chief Flight Instructor role oversees the Core Flying Phase of flydubai's MPL program, ensuring compliance with GCAA regulations, flydubai Academy procedures, and safety requirements across all assigned flight training activities.
  • The role includes managing and monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with contracted training providers, ensuring standardisation and quality assurance of flight instruction, and monitoring cadet performance and competency development.
  • The position requires the delivery of Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI) training for Synthetic Flight Instructors (SFIs) supporting the Basic Phase MPL training in FTD/FNPT devices.
  • Minimum qualifications include
    • Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
    • Fluent in English
    • Required GCAA CPL license holder with SEP rating and a minimum of 2,000 flight hours.
    • Years with qualifications: 7 - 9 years
    • Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with Single Engine, Multi-Engine, and Instrument Rating (IR); Flight Instructor Rating (FIR); Class Rating Instructor (CRI); Multi-Crew Pilot Licence Instructor (MPLI); and Multi-Crew Pilot Licence Instructor Instructor (MPLII)
  • AFM reported earlier in this week on flydubai's re-opening of applications for its Ab Initio MPL cadet program with a 16 July 2026 closing date.
