Forbes Spain Highlights FTEJerez Leadership Amid Simulator and Fleet Expansion

Spain – FTEJerez, a Spain-headquartered flight training group which recently launched UK base, has announced that its CEO, Óscar Sordo, has been recognised by Forbes Spain as one of the country’s most outstanding entrepreneurs of 2025 in the latest edition of Forbes “How I did it” by Deutsche Bank, reflecting the organisation’s continued growth and international expansion.

  • The recognition highlights FTEJerez’s strategic development under Óscar Sordo’s leadership, marked by sustained infrastructure investment, fleet growth, and geographic expansion across Europe.

  • During the past year, FTEJerez expanded its training footprint with new air traffic control (ATC) centres in Madrid and Barcelona, alongside the launch of a new international training base at London Oxford Airport.

  • The organisation strengthened its operational capabilities with the addition of an Airbus A320neo Flight Training Device (FTD), new-generation ATC simulators, and the refurbishment of its dedicated aerodrome at Trebujena.

  • Student infrastructure was expanded with the addition of 100 new accommodation rooms, supporting increased cadet intake and on-campus training delivery.

  • Fleet expansion included ten new-generation Piper Archer aircraft and a Citabria High Country Explorer, increasing flying capacity and operational flexibility across ab initio and advanced training phases.

  • FTEJerez continued to deliver cadet pilot training programs for a broad portfolio of airline partners, including Iberia, Aer Lingus, Air Astana, British Airways, easyJet, Etihad, Jet2.com, Kuwait Airways, Middle East Airlines, and Norwegian.
