Global – Foxtrot Aviation, a flight school operations technology provider, has announced the launch of Foxtrot Tracking — a platform capability that automatically collects and streams full avionics data from EFIS-equipped training aircraft over 4G, making previously underutilised flight data available for instructor debrief, fleet monitoring, and maintenance insight within the daily training workflow.

  • Foxtrot Tracking reads avionics SD card data automatically during flight operations and transmits the complete dataset — including engine parameters, system states, and full aircraft behavior — over 4G in near real time, removing the need for manual SD card handling, cables, or additional steps for instructors or students.
  • The streamed data is structured, timestamped, and automatically aligned with GPS track and flight parameters already captured within the Foxtrot platform, enabling a consolidated view of each training flight.
  • For flight instructors, the capability enables debrief sessions that incorporate precise engine and systems data alongside trajectory review, improving the objectivity, consistency, and standardisation of training feedback across instructors and student cohorts.
  • For flight school operators, the continuous fleet-level data collection provides insight into engine behavior, system usage, and performance trends across every flight, supporting earlier anomaly detection and more efficient aircraft utilisation monitoring.
  • Foxtrot Insight extends the platform's analytical layer by processing the streamed avionics data to provide a continuous view of fleet health and usage patterns, designed to support maintenance decision-making alongside training operations management.
