France – WECAIR welcomed a delegation from the CCI Réunion—including President Pierrick Robert, 1st Vice‑President Patricia Paoli and Training‑Commission President Fabrice Marouvin—to celebrate the graduation of cadets from Réunion Island and reaffirm the school’s international training ambitions.
In February this year AFM reported that WECAIR had launched the Flyfirst World programme, the first pilot training curriculum conducted across three continents. This 22-month course provides cadets with a comprehensive aviation education in the United States, Europe, and South Africa, culminating in an EASA licence.
Programme Structure:
Phase 1: Initial flight training in Florida, USA (16 weeks)
Phase 2: Theoretical ATPL courses in Bordeaux, France (36 weeks)
Phase 3: Time-building flights in South Africa (12 weeks)
Phase 4: Advanced flight training in Europe, including EASA CPL/IR ME/AUPRT (16 weeks)
Phase 5: Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) and Jet Orientation Course (JOC) on A320/B737 simulators in Europe (3 weeks)
