Portugal– FTD.aero has successfully installed a type-representative B73M Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) at IFA – International Flight Academy, marking another key milestone in the project.
IFA’s new FSTD features a fully functional and highly realistic cockpit environment that closely replicates the simulated aircraft, as well as a state-of-the-art proprietary Control Loading System. IFA has also added a number of aircraft-specific upgrades and OEM parts such as: flight controls, oxygen masks, pilot seats, and switches, taking the training experience to a higher level and ensuring a seamless transition to the next phases of type training – using FTD and FFS.
The simulator is now fully operational at IFA’s base in Viseu, Portugal, and ready for the next step: the EASA FNPT II APS MCC training approval process with ANAC. Once certified, it will become IFA’s primary APS MCC training device at the Viseu base and will also enable future upgrades and additional training programs, including MPL.
