Türkiye – Havelsan, the Ankara headquartered full flight simulator manufacturer, has highlighted that it has achieved EASA certification for its third Boeing 737-8 MAX Full Flight Simulator (FFS) built for Turkish Airlines.

  • The simulator will join six existing HAVELSAN-manufactured devices already in operation at Turkish Airlines, all certified to EASA Level D standards — the highest qualification level for full flight simulators.
  • Beyond device supply, the collaboration between HAVELSAN and Turkish Airlines extends to the joint operation of a Boeing type-focused flight training center in Ankara, which has been in operation since 2023.
  • The RFT milestone comes as HAVELSAN expands its production capabilities. In February 2026, the company broke ground on a new 17,000-square-meter Simulator Production and Integration Facility in Ankara, scheduled to enter service in 2027. The new facility will enable HAVELSAN to produce more than 30 simulators annually while supporting the simultaneous development of up to 16 devices.

AFM previously reported that Havelsan delivered more than 65,000 hours of global training capacity through its commercial FFS devices in 2025, reflecting a 98% utilization rate across its Boeing and Airbus simulator fleet.
