December 1, 2025

Saudi Arabia – The Saudi Aviation Club (the country's most popular flying club) has disclosed that it now includes more than 500 flight captains among its members, underscoring the rapid growth of the Kingdom’s general and commercial aviation sector. The announcement was made by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Club’s founder and board chairman, during the General Aviation Airshow 2025 “Sand & Fun,” held at Thumamah Airport in Riyadh.

  • Prince Sultan stated that Saudi Arabia will require at least 5,000 pilots by 2030, noting that actual demand may exceed current forecasts as the Kingdom accelerates aviation expansion under Vision 2030.
  • The Saudi Aviation Club continues to align its programmes and activities with national objectives, promoting aviation engagement, skills development and career pathways for Saudi nationals.
