Genesis Flight College Adds SimViz B737 MAX FMS Training to Cadet Program

Canada – Aviation training technology provider SimViz Labs has supplied its iPad-based Boeing 737 MAX Flight Management System simulator to Genesis Flight College for integration into the Canadian school’s cadet pilot training programme.

• The implementation covers the B737 MAX FMS platform and will allow Genesis cadets to practise Flight Management Computer procedures on iPads during their type-rating preparation.
• The SimViz platform covers FMC programming for departures, arrivals and approaches, together with VNAV climb and descent management, altitude and speed constraints and top-of-descent calculations.
• Its interface includes thrust levers, take-off/go-around switches, flap and speed-brake controls, a Primary Flight Display, Navigation Display and Flight Mode Annunciator. The product also supports approach and go-around scenarios.
• SimViz includes datalink training through an AI-supported CPDLC module, while institutional customers can configure ACARS menus, dispatch procedures and message formats around their operating requirements.
• Genesis operates Diamond DA20, DA40 and DA42 training aircraft and uses an Elite G1000 simulator alongside its B737MAX fixed-base device.
• AFM previously reported that SimViz Labs launched its B737 MAX FMS offering on July 20, 2026, covering FMC programming, flight guidance, VNAV and datalink procedures. The Genesis implementation represents a named training-organisation adoption following that product launch.
