German Simulator Manufacturer REISER Expands Full Flight Simulator Integration Capacity

Germany – Reiser Simulation and Training GmbH (REISER) has showcased its expanded Berg-Mörlbach development and manufacturing site near Munich, including new Full Flight Simulator integration capacity supporting its growing civil and military training systems portfolio. Customers and industry partners toured the expanded facilities during a September 15, 2026 networking event, where REISER demonstrated its new 11-foot Full Flight Simulator platform, H145 D3 XR simulator and NH90 Sea Tiger Maintenance Training Rig.

• The expansion includes a new approximately 900 sq m Full Flight Simulator integration hall. AFM previously reported that REISER planned to move into the facility in May 2026 and begin integrating two Full Flight Simulators there, following the addition of a separate 600 sq m production and system-integration facility at Mörlbach in October 2025.
• REISER states that its wider development and manufacturing operation in Höhenrain and Mörlbach now covers around 5,000 sq m and employs approximately 250 engineers, technicians and specialists. During 2026, the Mörlbach site has increasingly consolidated development, project engineering, production, system integration and commercial functions.
• One of the systems demonstrated was REISER's new modular 11-foot Full Flight Simulator platform. The system uses a common "mothership" architecture with interchangeable cockpit modules, allowing multiple aircraft configurations to use common motion, visual, vibration and supporting simulator infrastructure.
• REISER currently identifies helicopter cockpit modules for the H125, H135, H145, NH90, H175, AW139 and AW169 alongside fixed-wing configurations including the PC-21 and Eurofighter. Individual availability and qualification depend on each customer program and simulator configuration.
• The facility tour also included the H145 D3 XR-SIM, which combines a physical cockpit and controls with mixed-reality visuals. The German Federal Aviation Office previously qualified the H145 D3 XR simulator as an EASA FTD Level 3, and a device developed for DRF Akademie entered service at Lufthansa Aviation Training's Frankfurt facility in June 2026.
• REISER also displayed the full-scale NH90 Sea Tiger Maintenance Training Rig being developed for the German Navy. The project began in November 2024 with a two-year development timeline and is designed to replicate more than 1,000 maintenance procedures while allowing mechanics and avionics personnel to train without occupying an operational helicopter.
