Germany – TRU Simulation + Training has announced that its Bell 525 Full Flight Simulator, installed at the Bell Training Academy, has received FAA Interim Level C qualification. The milestone allows pilots to begin accruing additional training hours on the 525 platform in advance of the helicopter’s expected FAA type certification.
The Interim Level C qualification enables structured training and proficiency development on the Bell 525 ahead of full certification, strengthening early readiness for operators preparing for the aircraft’s entry into service.
The simulator integrates high-fidelity visual systems, an accurately replicated cockpit, and an advanced motion platform designed to mirror real-world flight dynamics of the Bell 525.
TRU Simulation noted that fidelity and accuracy remain central to ensuring pilots can safely translate simulator training to operational environments, especially as the 525 program progresses.
The device supports Bell’s broader training strategy for the 525, complementing the helicopter’s development and manufacturing program under Bell Textron Inc.
