Global – Aircraft lessor Azorra and Embraer have signed a firm order for 15 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft along with purchase rights for a further 15 jets, taking Azorra's total firm E2 order count from 39 to 54 aircraft and pushing the E2 program past 500 total orders.

  • The agreement marks the third expansion of Azorra's original E2 order, first placed in December 2021, and represents a continued vote of confidence in right-sized, fuel-efficient narrowbody aircraft demand from airline operators globally.
  • The E2 program milestone of 500 orders reflects growing momentum behind the family, which has more than 200 aircraft in service with 24 airline customers since entering commercial operations.
  • The E195-E2, Embraer's largest commercial aircraft, features two-by-two seating with no middle seats and is positioned by Embraer around its fuel efficiency, low emissions, quiet operation, and passenger comfort as advantages for airlines seeking to open new routes or modernise fleets.
  • The new order will be reflected in Embraer's Q2 2026 results and backlog.

Statements

  • "Our continued investment in Embraer's E2 family reflects the strong demand we are seeing from airlines around the world for right-sized, fuel-efficient aircraft that deliver operational, economic and network planning advantages to our airline customers. With this transaction, Azorra's firm E2 orderbook also surpasses 50 aircraft — two important milestones that reflect both our confidence in the program and the growing global momentum behind this exceptional aircraft," said John Evans, CEO, Azorra.
  • "Azorra has been an important partner in the global success of the E2, and this latest order is another strong endorsement of the aircraft's outstanding economics, performance and passenger appeal. Surpassing 500 E2 orders is a proud moment for Embraer and reflects the growing momentum behind right-sized, fuel-efficient aircraft," said Arjan Meijer, President and CEO, Embraer Commercial Aviation.
