Global Flight Training Group Airways Aviation is Seeking to Hire for Head of Training Role for its France Base in 2025

Montpellier, France - Airways Aviation, one of the largest aviation and pilot training group's in the world operating pilot training academies across Europe, the Middle East, Asia/Australia, India and Africa, has shared that its France base Airways Aviation ESMA is seeking a Head of Training to lead its EASA-approved training programs at its Montpellier academy. This role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, managing instructor resources, and maintaining high training standards at one of Europe’s premier aviation academies.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong knowledge of EASA regulations (French DGAC knowledge preferred)
• Meets ORA.ATO 210 qualification requirements
• Extensive instructor experience in professional pilot licenses and associated ratings
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Professional pilot license (valid or non-current)
• Fluent in English (French proficiency is a plus)
• International experience is welcomed

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Accountable Manager on training resource needs (aircraft, simulators, instructors)
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance of instructors
• Monitor trainee progress and optimize training schedules
• Ensure full EASA and DGAC regulatory compliance
• Develop and update training curricula
• Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high training standards
• Foster a strong safety culture in collaboration with the Safety Manager
• Act as the primary liaison with aviation authorities
• Support the commercial team in developing new training programs and attending professional events
