  • The role carries direct responsibility for originating, negotiating, and closing international airline training contracts, as well as government and state-sponsored training agreements.
  • The CSO will report directly to executive leadership and work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and training delivery teams to align commercial commitments with operational capacity.
  • The position is heavily focused on long-cycle, high-value contracts within highly regulated aviation environments, requiring senior-level engagement with airline executives, regulators, and government stakeholders.
  • Geographic responsibility spans Asia, the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, South America, and the United States, with significant international travel expected.
  • Commercial scope includes airline cadet and pilot training partnerships, government-backed training programmes, and strategic institutional B2B agreements, with limited involvement in direct-to-consumer enrolment activity.

  • Lead global B2B business development strategy across airline, government, and institutional clients
  • Originate, negotiate, and close strategic airline training agreements
  • Develop and manage senior-level relationships with airline executives, regulators, and government stakeholders
  • Represent the organization at international industry events, airline headquarters, and government forums
  • Own the commercial pipeline for B2B contracts, from initial engagement through contract execution
  • Coordinate closely with operations and training leadership to align commercial commitments with delivery capacity
  • Support pricing strategy, commercial structuring, and contract terms in collaboration with executive leadership
  • Build long-term, repeatable partnership frameworks with airlines and institutional clients

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as the senior commercial face of the organization with airlines and institutional partners
  • Collaborate with Marketing on airline-facing positioning and market entry strategies
  • Work closely with Operations to ensure contract feasibility and on-time delivery
  • Provide executive-level commercial insight to leadership on market trends and partnership opportunities

Candidate Profile

  • Business development leadership experience in aviation education
  • Proven track record closing airline, government, or institutional contracts
  • Deep understanding of airline pilot supply chains, cadet programs, or outsourced training models
  • Strong international business development experience and cultural fluency
  • Comfortable operating in long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and regulators
  • Willingness and enthusiasm for significant international travel as a core part of the role
  • Executive presence with credibility at C-suite and government levels
