BAA Training is looking for a Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (CTKI) for its headquarters in Vilnius, Lithuania. Please see an extract of the job post below.

“Responsibilities:

Setting theoretical training standards and helping theory instructors to implement themStandardization of theoretical knowledge instructors: control the level of preparation of instructors, supervise their methodical preparation and the way they deliver lectures, provide needed training to achieve needed training standards and qualityPreparing, updating and developing methodical literature and training material, ensure, that all training material for theoretical training is in accordance with TM and Part-FCL requirementsContributing to the development of training programs for the theoretical part, training of instructors and refresher courseUpdating and adjusting theoretical training programs, ensure that they meet Part-FCL, ICAO and TKA CAA requirementsDeveloping training plans and schedules according to the number of studentsPreparing, controling and supervising the completion of documentation of theoretical trainingAssessing and controling student progress by examining their methodical preparation both according to the plan and not following the plan; supervise the process of examinationIntegration of threat and error management, crew resource management and competence based training and assessmentConstantly submitting proposals on more effective training and improvement in training qualityWork according to approved company processesParticipation in daily meetings based on Lean principlesSetting and achieving short-term and long-term goals in accordance with the company’s strategic goalsPerforming other duties and responsibilities assigned by direct manager

Qualifications:

Has extensive experience as a theoretical knowledge instructor for ATPL subjectsExperience as a CTKI, Manager or Deputy in the aviation training industry would be an advantageHas good knowledge of Part-FCL regulationsHolds a professional pilot licenseHas previously operated as a Flight Instructor with the relevant Instructor ratings and certificatesHas good skills in a Microsoft Office 365 environment or has basic conceptional computer literacyIs able to work independently and is self-motivated and willing to take ownershipKnows how to manage several complex projects at onceHas analytical and conceptual thinking skillsHas willingness to share skills, knowledge and expertiseUses the English language at an effectively operational and independent levelIs flexible with good time management skillsHas respectful and positive attitude”
