CAE is seeking a Senior Market Analyst to join their growing Marketing Department within CAE’s Civil Aviation Business Group in Dallas, Texas, USA. Please see an extract of the job post below.
The role:
Within Market Strategy and Product Marketing team, the Senior Market Analyst will own and deliver on various data solutions, market analyses, competitive intelligence, strategic scenarios, and customer insights. You will leverage expertise in identifying data needs, acquiring data, and enriching data to address varied complex business and market opportunities. You will translate your data analytics outputs and results into strategic recommendations and decision support for group leaders and their front-line teams, deciphering the findings into clear messages and visuals for our Civil Aviation business unit. You will tell the market and our company the story of our simulation equipment, training, operational and technical services, and digital solutions to support the growth of the Civil Aviation business unit.
Responsibilities:
Support sales and business development with market data, intelligence, and market strategyContribute to and expand long-term market forecasting capabilities for Civil Aviation business (pilot demand outlook, fleet forecast, simulator forecast, training forecast, etc.)Contribute to management of sources of market, customer, and competitor data and analyticsEvolve processes for market intelligence sourcing and distributionCreate and deliver on various market analyses, briefings, competitive intelligence reports and other high priority analysis projectsDevelop and provide decision support for market strategies as needed for various Civil Aviation projects and stakeholders, including Directors and VPsSupport organic and in-organic growth option evaluations (partnerships, M&A, etc.)On occasion, support product marketing related projects
Qualifications:
5+ years of work experience in market research analysis, preferably in aviationA bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business Administration, Statistics, or related field, preferably an MBAExtensive knowledge in market analysis, market segmentation, market strategy, and competitive positioningFamiliarity of market dynamics, key players, regulations, trends, and strategic forces in the commercial aviation industryAdvanced analytical skills around data collection, manipulation of data, statistics, forecasting, usage of tools, and data reportingRobust skills in Microsoft Excel are a minimum; skill sets in newer data visualization tools such as Power Bi or Tableau is a plusFamiliarity with Cirium, Aviation Week, WINGX, AMSTAT, and other aviation databases is a plusStrong ability to interpret data and communicate results clearly to internal and external stakeholders; being able to define the ‘So what?’ from the dataCritical thinking skills to determine what market strategy would work bestDetail-oriented mindset to conduct precise data analysisPrior experience in working with external providers of data and data solutions in defining and managing our needsThe ability to influence colleagues with thought leadershipProduct marketing skills are a plusPassion for collaborating with cross-functional teamsA “roll up your sleeves” attitude and a self-starter personaFlexibility to adapt on the fly and tackle ambiguous situationsA genuine personality that is confident in sharing new ideas and humble while listening to othersStrong problem-solving, team building, project management, and leadership skills
