Global Pilot Training Group FlightSafety International Launches Circling and Visual Approach Course

10th Feb 2026

USA – FlightSafety International Inc. (FSI), a globally recognized provider of advanced aviation training solutions and simulator technology, has launched the industry’s first Advanced Circling and Visual Approach course, reinforcing its long-standing focus on improving safety and operational proficiency in complex flight environments. The new offering addresses an identified gap in structured training for high‑risk, low‑altitude maneuvering, particularly under reduced visibility and demanding terrain conditions.

  • The Advanced Circling and Visual Approach course is structured into three phases: interactive eLearning for theoretical grounding, instructor-led ground sessions with scenario-based discussion, and immersive simulator-based flight scenarios.

  • The program targets flight operations facing frequent non-precision approaches, including corporate aviation departments, owner-operators, and fleet operators.

  • Practical training includes varied real-world operational conditions such as mountainous terrain, low visibility, and constrained maneuvering airspace.

  • Early adopters have reported strong interest, citing the course’s relevance to real-world flying and critical decision-making under pressure.

  • FlightSafety International plans to expand the course across its fixed-wing aircraft programs at flagship Learning Centers globally in 2026.

Statements

  • “Circle-to-land procedures are high risk and require a unified and consistent training framework,” said Ben Carter, Executive Vice President of Learning Center Operations, FlightSafety International. “This course equips pilots with the knowledge, strategies, and confidence to perform circle-to-land approaches safely and effectively in real-world conditions.”

  • “Industry data confirms that visual and circling approaches are some of the most demanding scenarios pilots face. I’m encouraged to see a course specifically designed to address these challenges,” said a Chief Pilot of a Fortune 100 company operating multiple Gulfstream aircraft.
