France - Simaero, a global provider of full‑flight simulator pilot training and simulation engineering solutions, has appointed Cédric Coffignal as its new Training Manager France,.

• Coffignal joins Simaero with extensive experience in ab-initio and advanced pilot training. His career includes senior instructional roles at Airbus Flight Academy, where he served as Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor, Worldwide Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor for ab-initio training, Ab-initio Head of Training Support Manager, and MPL Program Leader.

• Earlier, Coffignal spent a decade as a Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) in the French Air Force, before transitioning into civil aviation training.

• He is recognised as an expert in Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA), Evidence-Based Training (EBT), and pedagogical innovation.

• At Simaero, Coffignal will be responsible for:

  • Driving the commercial development of Simaero’s Approved Training Organisation (ATO) in France;

  • Overseeing the administrative management of training activities, including the rollout of new products;

  • Leading the digitalisation of training tools to improve efficiency and cadet learning outcomes;

  • Supporting the transition to new training paradigms in line with international standards.
