Global Pilot Training Group Simaero Integrates E170/190 Training Program's into SACAA ATO

South Africa – Simaero, a France-headquartered global pilot training organisation and operator of one of the largest independent full flight simulator training centers in Africa, has integrated Embraer E170/190 training program's into its South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) Approved Training Organisation (ATO) at its Johannesburg Training Centre, making a full suite of E-Jet training solutions available to regional operators.

• The ATO integration follows the SACAA certification of Simaero's Embraer E170/190 Full Flight Simulator at the Johannesburg Training Centre — a device sourced from the China Southern Airlines training centre and relocated to South Africa by Simaero Engineering, with SACAA qualification completed in late 2025.
• The integration addresses a growing regional demand: African carriers are increasingly transitioning from ERJ 145 fleets to the more fuel-efficient E190 E-Series jets, while newer start-up airlines are selecting the model for its extended range and ETOPS capabilities.
• Simaero is offering flexible training configurations across three models — dry lease access to the simulator, wet lease arrangements with instructor provision, and complete ATO training program's with full operational and regulatory support — enabling airlines to select the setup appropriate to their fleet size and training management structure.
