Greece – Global Aviation, one of the largest EASA-approved flight training organization's headquartered in Athens, has ordered five Elixir+ aircraft from French manufacturer Elixir Aircraft, becoming one of the first customers for the new variant as the school approaches its 30th anniversary and continues to modernize its fleet and infrastructure.

  • The Elixir+ was unveiled by Elixir Aircraft at the opening of Aero Friedrichshafen on 22 April 2026, marked a new milestone in the development of the fourth-generation aircraft platform that is dual-certified by EASA and the FAA.
  • The five Elixir+ aircraft will be deployed for VFR training operations at Ikaros Airport, owned by Global Aviation, north of Athens. The aircraft was selected following a thorough evaluation based on its performance, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • The order represents an initial acquisition, with the fleet expected to expand further to support growing demand for pilot training in the Mediterranean region.
  • The Elixir platform is recognized for its safety, low fuel consumption, controlled operating costs, and an airframe with no life limit, positioning it as a benchmark for professional flight schools seeking modern, sustainable training aircraft.

Founded in 1997, Global Aviation has over 28 years of training tradition and provides ATPL Integrated training through airline-standard SOPs. The school's fleet modernization strategy aligns with its continued positioning as a leading training provider in the Eastern Mediterranean.

  • "We chose the Elixir+ because it aligns perfectly with where we see the future of pilot training heading—technology-driven, operationally agile, and increasingly sustainable. It enables us to deliver a more efficient and forward-looking training environment for our cadets," said Alexandros Tsaktanis, Managing Director of Global Aviation.
