Europe – Denmark-headquartered pilot training group GreyBird Pilot Academy has provided an update on its current operational scale, reporting a network of seven training bases, a fleet approaching 25 Tecnam aircraft, and a combined workforce of more than 70 staff.

  • GreyBird currently operates across seven bases in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsinki, Dublin, and Córdoba, spanning four countries across Northern and Western Europe.
  • The academy's instructor corps has grown to more than 40 employed flight instructors, supporting the expanded multi-base training operation.
  • The fleet is approaching 25 Tecnam aircraft, reflecting continued investment in standardised training equipment across the network.
  • The update follows a period of accelerated growth for GreyBird, which launched its Helsinki base in January 2026 — with initial class demand doubling versus original planning — and confirmed plans to expand into Norway also in 2026.
