Ireland – GreyBird Pilot Academy, the Denmark-headquartered European flight training group in Europe, is seeking to recruit a Base Manager & ATPL Theory Instructor for its new Dublin training base, confirming the establishment of the previously announced Irish operation as the academy continues its multi-country European expansion.
- The full-time role is based at GreyBird's Dublin training facilities at Prosperity Chambers, 23 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2, combining primary responsibilities in ATPL theoretical knowledge instruction with local base management oversight of the new facility.
- The Base Manager will deliver theoretical knowledge instruction in ATPL subjects, support students in academic development and exam preparation, and ensure classrooms, equipment, and facilities remain in operational condition aligned with GreyBird's training standards and approval requirements.
- The position reports to the Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (CTKI) for training matters and to the COO for facility operations, reflecting the dual nature of the role across training delivery and base establishment.
- Dublin is one of four new bases announced as part of GreyBird's strategic expansion plan, alongside Paris, Lyon, and Helsinki. The Helsinki base was confirmed for 2026, and GreyBird also announced plans to expand into Norway during the same period.
- GreyBird has grown significantly since its founding in 2013, now employing more than 40 full-time professionals across its organization and reporting a 60% year-on-year increase in student intake in early 2025. In November 2024, the group welcomed a private equity firm as a minority shareholder to support its expansion strategy.
- The academy's training program includes international flying experience across Denmark, Spain, and wider Europe, providing students with diverse operational exposure.
Requirements for the positions are:
- Experience as a theory instructor in ATPL subjects
- Strong technical and academic aviation knowledge
- High proficiency in English
- Strong ability to structure lessons and maintain high-quality teaching standards
- Experience working with students or adult learners
- A constructive, professional and cooperative attitude
- A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- The ability to manage practical facility-related matters in a structured way
- Basic IT skills
