Switzerland – GROB Aircraft SE, a German military and civil training aircraft manufacturer and integrated pilot training system provider, will participate as a sponsor at Military Flight Training 2026, taking place from 31 March to 2 April at the Hotel & Conference Center Sempachersee in Switzerland — the same event at which GROB will represent its G 120TP turboprop trainer and associated simulation technologies to senior military aviation training leaders from over 40 nations.
- Military Flight Training 2026 marks the event's 25th anniversary and brings together more than 400 senior leaders, training commanders and industry experts to address how air forces can strengthen operational readiness through modern training approaches. The conference is widely regarded as the world's premier forum for military aviation training.
- GROB will present its integrated pilot training system, centred on the G 120TP side-by-side turboprop trainer, which supports military pilot development from initial ab initio instruction through to advanced lead-in preparation for fighter, transport and rotary-wing platforms. The training ecosystem incorporates advanced simulation technologies including immersive virtual environments and a 360-degree dome-based projection system, enabling a seamless training progression from basic flight instruction to operationally relevant mission preparation.
- GROB's integrated training systems are currently in operational service with air forces worldwide. In 2025, the company delivered G 120TP aircraft to the Swedish Air Force and Canadian operations via CAE, and highlighted the G 120TP at the Dubai Airshow in November 2025.
- GROB Aircraft SE was acquired by Helsing, a European defence technology company specialising in artificial intelligence and software-driven defence capabilities, in June 2025. The acquisition positions GROB's aviation engineering heritage within a broader defence technology ecosystem.
- Representing GROB at Military Flight Training 2026 will be Carsten Elsebrock (Chief Sales Officer), Tim Schneider (Sales, Europe & North America), Jiří Sýkora (GTS Sales & Business Development) and Michael Rosenqvist (Aviation Consultant).
Statements
- "Operational readiness begins with training. Military Flight Training provides an important forum to exchange perspectives with our customers, partners and the wider aviation training community. We look forward to meeting many of our long-standing partners and discussing how modern training systems must evolve to prepare pilots for increasingly complex operational environments. As part of the Helsing group, we combine decades of aviation engineering with a forward-looking defence technology ecosystem. Our goal remains clear: to be a trusted partner for air forces preparing the pilots who will operate at the edge of tomorrow's airpower." - Carsten Elsebrock, Chief Sales Officer, GROB Aircraft SE.
