Türkiye – flight simulator manufacturer HAVELSAN has announced the successful completion of another Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for a Boeing 737 MAX full flight simulator (FFS) destined for Turkish Airlines, marking continued progress in the manufacturer's simulator production pipeline for the flag carrier.
- This FAT milestone relates to HAVELSAN's ongoing production of its third Boeing 737 MAX FFS for Turkish Airlines. In 2025, HAVELSAN also supplied its third Airbus A320 FFS to Turkish Airlines, reinforcing its position as a primary simulator provider for Turkey's national carrier.
- In March 2026 HAVELSAN broke ground on a new 17,000-square-metre Simulator Production and Integration Facility. Once operational in 2027, the new facility will enable HAVELSAN to produce more than 30 flight simulators annually while supporting the simultaneous development of up to 16 simulators at various stages of production and integration. Combined with existing Ankara infrastructure, total capacity will reach up to 40 commercial and military simulators under development and operation at any given time.
- HAVELSAN's civil aviation simulator portfolio also has expanded beyond its domestic base, recently delivering an Airbus A320neo FFS to French-headquartered pilot training organisation SIMAERO.
Statements
- HAVELSAN stated: "We would like to once again thank our dedicated team and the Turkish Airlines team for their valuable support and collaboration throughout this process."
