Thailand & USA – Hillsboro Aero Academy which recently brought its international seminar roadshow to Bangkok, Thailand, engaged with Rangsit University in Bangkok to explore international pilot training pathways leveraging the U.S. F-1 Visa model.
Mei Kamoshita, Asia Program Director at Hillsboro Aero Academy, presented the U.S.-based school’s CPL-to-1,500-hour training structure, which uses the F-1 Visa to enable eligible international students to legally work as Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) after completing their CPL MEIR, allowing them to build the 1,500 flight hours required for airline employment.
The meeting was facilitated by Aviation Connect, a consultancy platform supporting aviation training partnerships and program development in Asia. Hillsboro Aero Academy (HAA) is one of the United States’ largest professional pilot training providers for both fixed-wing and rotorcraft and recently has renewed its International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) Stage 3 Safety Certification.
