Hong Kong-based Pilot Training Academy Deploys Delegation to Chinese Airline Training Center in October 2025

Hong Kong & China – The Hong Kong International Aviation Academy (HKIAA) led by President Simon Li visited Donghai Airlines’ training facilities in Shenzhen, where mutual interest was shown in deepening training collaboration across pilot, crew and maintenance pathways.

  • The HKIAA delegation was welcomed by Donghai Airlines’ Chairman Huang Chubiao and President Zhang Zhizhong.
  • The visit included tours of Donghai’s simulators and wet‑drill training facilities, as well as meetings with Donghai pilots currently undertaking an English‑language proficiency course provided by HKIAA.
  • HKIAA shared details of its Cadet Pilot Programme and Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) requirements in Hong Kong, while Donghai explored other HKIAA courses and programmes offered at its Training Centres.
  • Both organisations committed to exploring further collaboration on training programmes and talent‑pipeline initiatives between the Mainland and Hong Kong aviation sectors.
