India Boosts Flight Training Capacity in 2025 – Highlights Training Aircraft Additions

India – India’s Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, has reported continued expansion of the country’s national pilot-training capacity, highlighting strong growth in Flying Training Organisations (FTOs) and training-aircraft availability across the country.

  • India now has 40 FTOs operating across 62 bases
  • The DGCA facilitated the induction of 61 new training aircraft into FTO fleets as of November 2025
  • The regulator also approved two new FTOs in 2025,
