Indian Conglomerate-Backed Flight Training Group Seeking to Recruit Chief Operating Officer for 2026 FTO Scale-Up

India – FSTC Flying School, a unit of Adani Defence and Aerospace, is seeking to recruit a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to head the overall operations, business growth, expansion, and strategic development of its Flying Training Organisation (FTO), based full-time in Gurgaon.

  • The COO will be responsible for the overall operational, commercial, and business performance of the flying school, leading end-to-end functioning including student acquisition, B2B partnerships, operational excellence, new flying base expansion, resource optimization, stakeholder management, and profitability.
  • Key focus areas for the role include:
    • Business growth and B2B partnerships
    • Expansion and new flying base development
    • Operational excellence and resource optimization
    • Training delivery and student experience
    • Regulatory compliance and safety management
    • Financial performance and profitability
    • Team leadership and organizational development
  • The role requires ensuring smooth operations, achievement of annual flying targets, and full compliance with DGCA regulations and organizational standards.
  • Adani Defence and Aerospace acquired a majority stake (72.8%) in FSTC in 2025 for an enterprise value of INR 820 crore (approximately USD 91.8 million). FSTC operates 11 advanced full flight simulators and over 17 training aircraft, offering comprehensive pilot training from commercial pilot license through type rating and recurrent training.
