India – Sarla Aviation, the Indian eVTOL developer behind the Shunya electric air taxi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Flight Simulation Technique Centre Private Limited (FSTC), which operates a number of full flight simulator training centers and flight schools, to explore the application of FSTC's simulator operations, pilot training, and regulatory compliance expertise to the eVTOL training context.

The MOU establishes a framework for both organisations to develop training infrastructure in parallel with Sarla Aviation's Shunya eVTOL aircraft development, covering type rating program design and transition training pathways for pilots moving into Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) operations.
Sarla Aviation has framed the agreement as part of a broader commitment to building India's AAM ecosystem beyond the aircraft itself, recognising that pilot training, simulation, certification pathways, and regulatory frameworks must be developed concurrently with the technology to enable safe and scalable urban air mobility.
