Indian FFS Training Center Appoints General Manager in 2025

India – Airbus India Training Centre Pvt. Ltd., in partnership with Air India, officially launched its state‑of‑the‑art pilot training facility on September 30, 2025, marking a new chapter in India’s aviation training capacity - see more here (Air India and Airbus Opened their New FFS Training Center at Air India Training Academy - AFM.aero).

  • The facility is a 50:50 joint venture between Airbus and Air India, intended to train over 5,000 pilots over the next decade.

  • Spread across 12,000 m², the centre can house 10 full flight simulators (FFSs) (initially two A320neo FFS have been installed, with six more A320s and two A350s to be phased in).

  • Training courses will be approved by both DGCA (India’s regulator) and EASA, aligning India’s pilot training to global standards.

  • Airbus India Training Centre has appointed Sabarish Balachandran as the General Manager
