India – Airbus India Training Centre Pvt. Ltd., in partnership with Air India, officially launched its state‑of‑the‑art pilot training facility on September 30, 2025, marking a new chapter in India’s aviation training capacity - see more here (Air India and Airbus Opened their New FFS Training Center at Air India Training Academy - AFM.aero).
The facility is a 50:50 joint venture between Airbus and Air India, intended to train over 5,000 pilots over the next decade.
Spread across 12,000 m², the centre can house 10 full flight simulators (FFSs) (initially two A320neo FFS have been installed, with six more A320s and two A350s to be phased in).
Training courses will be approved by both DGCA (India’s regulator) and EASA, aligning India’s pilot training to global standards.
