Indian Flag Carrier Airline is Recruiting Again Senior Trainee Co-Pilots
India’s Flag Carrier, Air India, has restarted its recruitment of Senior Trainee Co-Pilots – signaling a strong expectation in terms of aviation recovery in India and the Asia Region. Below is an extract about the hiring requirements.
“Requirement
A320 Type Rated Co-Pilots with high level of competence.
Eligibility
- Indian Nationals or Overseas citizens of India
- Age up to 30 Yrs.
Minimum Academic Qualification
- 10+2 with Physics & Maths from a recognized Board/University
Technical/Licence Qualifications
- Current Class-I Medical Fitness Assessment issued by DGCA, India
- Current CPL/ATPL issued by DGCA, India
- Current FRTO issued by DGCA, India
- Valid A-320 Endorsement on Indian CPL/ATPL
- Current Instrument rating on A-320 aircraft endorsed on Indian CPL/ATPL
- Valid ELP endorsed on Indian CPL/ATPL
- Current RTR (A) or RTR(P) or RTR(C) issued by WPC, Ministry of Communication, India
- Mandatory eGCA-id with all licences and documents validated.
Please Note:
- All above Technical / License qualifications shall also be required to be current at the time of joining.
- The selected candidates shall be in possession of a Police Verification Certificate obtained in the preceding three months from the date of joining (in case their passport has not been issued / renewed in the last 05 years).
- Candidates, currently employed, must produce a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their current Employer, at the time of joining Air India.
- List of documents to be uploaded by the candidates (One file only) while applying.
Skills & Attributes
- Maintain up to date knowledge of current aviation & Flight Safety requirements
- Maintain knowledge of service procedures & company policies
- Comply with all DGCA regulations and ability to maintain all required licenses up to date.
- Remain medically fit, following rest regulations to comply with flying duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct safe flights while adhering to flight plans, regulations, and procedures
- Supervise flight crew members to ensure safety, comfort and convenience of all passengers
- Communicate with ground crews and air traffic control unit during take-off, flight and landing
- Inspect aircraft for defects and malfunctions, according to pre-flight checklists
- Inspect aircraft based on pre-flight checklists
- Make announcements to passengers about flight conditions, status, take-off and arrival time.
Selection Process & Dates
- Online Application: 2nd Sept 2022
(Pilots from other TATA Companies are not eligible to apply) - Written Test: 25th Sept 2022
- Personal Interview and Simulator Assessment: 1st Week of October in Hyderabad
Simulator Fees to be paid by candidates who qualify interview
- Rs 1 lakh (approx. US$1,300)”
