India – Dunes Aviation Academy (DAA), a DGCA‑approved Flying Training Organisation (FTO), has officially launched a new training base in Bhilwara, marking a significant expansion of its operations and capacity to develop pilots in the region.

The Bhilwara base expands DAA’s footprint beyond Gujarat, introducing state‑of‑the‑art facilities at Bhilwara Airstrip specially designed for uninterrupted, immersive flight training.
The location offers key operational benefits:
- Uncontrolled airspace conducive for initial pilot training and consistent flying hours.
- Minimal air traffic, enabling smooth schedules with minimal delays.
- Favorable year‑round weather supports continuous operations.
- Spacious layout with on‑site hangar facilities to house and maintain aircraft, and room for future expansion.
Dunes Aviation Academy holds a valid DGCA approval (effective from January 2024 through April 2029) and is authorised to conduct various licenses—CPL, PPL, license renewals, and conversions.
The academy offers a comprehensive program: ground classes in Ahmedabad, followed by flying at Bhavnagar and Bhilwara using a modern fleet including Cessna 172, Piper Archer DX, Diamond DA42, and DGCA‑approved simulators.
Dunes Aviation Academy has expanding its training fleet with the addition of 4 new Piper Archer DX aircraft in May 2025. This increased its fleet to 14 aircraft.
In January 2024 Dunes Aviation Academy received its approval and had planned on receiving 10 Piper Archers.
