Indian Government-Owned Flight School Awards 2026 Contract for Combined Flight Simulator

India – Government of Maharashtra-owned flight training organisation Nagpur Flying Club (NFC) has had a contract awarded to New Delhi-based aviation simulation supplier SRK Aviacom India Pvt Ltd for a combined single- and multi-engine flight simulator. The procurement will add an in-house simulation capability at NFC, whose current information page states that simulator training is presently conducted through an arrangement with Academy of Carver Aviation.

• The contract was awarded at ₹98.50 lakh (approximately US$103,000), with the tender result declared on July 31, 2026. The procurement documentation specifies a 180-day performance period, while the original tender carried an estimated value of ₹1 crore.
• The latest DGCA approved-FTO list, dated March 30, 2026, records NFC with four single-engine training aircraft — one Cessna 172R and three Cessna 152s — and no multi-engine aircraft. Its approval number 23/2016 is valid through November 15, 2028, covering operating bases at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur and Moorwa airstrip in Chandrapur.
• NFC’s current DGCA-information page additionally lists four instructors and confirms that no simulator is presently available in-house.
