India – Indian aircraft manufacturing company Pioneer Clean Amps (PCA) has outlined its production, delivery and customer-support plans for the HANSA-3(NG), a two-seat training aircraft developed by CSIR–National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) and marketed by PCA as KRISSHIV. The initiative is intended to increase the availability of domestically manufactured aircraft for Indian flying training organisations (FTOs) and reduce reliance on imported basic trainers.

  • PCA's production roadmap targets the rollout of its first aircraft in Q4 2026, followed by the first customer delivery in Q1 2027. The company plans to increase deliveries to three aircraft per quarter during 2027 and at least five per quarter in 2028.
  • The manufacturer is developing an aircraft production facility near Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, designed for an initial annual manufacturing capacity of 36 aircraft, scalable to 100. PCA aims to reach a production rate of 36 aircraft annually by 2028.
  • In January 2026, the Andhra Pradesh government approved the proposed allotment of 55.47 acres at Manendram, Ramakuppam Mandal, Chittoor district, for PCA's integrated aircraft manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and flight training development. The manufacturing investment was previously estimated at INR 150 crore (approximately US$15.8 million).
  • PCA has outlined three acquisition arrangements for flight training customers: outright aircraft purchase, operating dry lease, and pay-per-flight-hour agreements. Its proposed customer support offering includes spare parts provisioning, initial training support for Chief Flight Instructors and Flight Instructors, aircraft maintenance engineer training, and MRO services.
  • The production program follows a Transfer of Technology (ToT) agreement signed with CSIR-NAL on 4 April 2025. At the time, CSIR-NAL reported receiving letters of intent for more than 110 HANSA-3(NG) aircraft from Indian FTOs.
  • AFM previously reported that the production-standard HANSA-3(NG) was unveiled at CSIR-NAL in November 2025, with PCA preparing an Indian manufacturing operation targeting eventual annual production of 70–100 aircraft.
  • The DGCA type-certified HANSA-3(NG) features an all-composite airframe, a Rotax 912 iSc3 Sport engine, digital cockpit displays and a maximum takeoff weight of 750 kg. The aircraft is certified for day and night Visual Flight Rules (VFR) operations, with Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) certification identified by PCA as an ongoing process.
