Infinity Flight To Assume Vermont Flight Academy Training Operations; Named Flight Training Partner for Vermont State University

Vermont, USA – Infinity Flight Group (IFG) and Vermont Flight Academy (VFA) announced the transition of VFA’s training operations to IFG. IFG will expand the training currently offered at Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (BTV). The transition represents a long-term investment in aircraft, training technology, and operational infrastructure in Vermont that also supports local aviation employment and workforce development in the region.

Through this transition, IFG will become Vermont State University (VTSU)'s official flight training provider for the university’s highly demanded professional pilot program.

The transition will occur in two phases. Infinity Flight Group will assume responsibility for non-VTSU flight training operations beginning this summer, with VTSU student flight training launching at the start of the Fall 2026 semester. The phased approach is designed to ensure continuity for students, instructors, and the local aviation community.

Infinity Flight Group is led by Vermont native Gregory John and operates FAA-approved collegiate and professional pilot training programs across the Eastern US.

As part of this new phase of flight training in Vermont, IFG will introduce modern Cessna 172 aircraft equipped with Garmin G1000 avionics, upgraded simulator technology, and standardized FAA-approved curriculum aligned with current industry standards. “This is about strengthening aviation education and career pathways locally in Vermont, ” stated Gregory John. “Our goal is to expand on the remarkable program that Vermont State University and Vermont Flight Academy have built over the past 16 years, enabling the growth of this program while continuing to support local pilots”

In addition to collegiate and career-focused training, IFG will continue offering the flight instruction VFA has long been known for to members of the public, supporting private and recreational pilots within Vermont’s general aviation community.
