United Arab Emirates – Intercontinental Aviation Academy (FlyIAA), a UAE-headquartered pilot training group, has welcomed its September 2026 cadet intake during an Open Day and Induction Day in Dubai. The intake adds to the academy's UAE student pipeline as it continues developing its domestic flight training infrastructure.

  • The September intake comprises 25 registered cadets, designated the “Tomcats” batch, while nearly 140 people attended the combined Open Day and Induction Day at Aloft Dubai Creek.
  • The induction introduced incoming cadets to the academic standards, discipline and professional responsibilities associated with pilot training. Existing FlyIAA students also shared their training experiences with the new cohort.
  • The event brought together prospective students and families from across the UAE and the wider region, providing information on pilot training pathways, academic requirements, career progression and opportunities available through FlyIAA's international training network.
  • AFM previously reported that FlyIAA had taken delivery of its first Diamond DA40 aircraft for its UAE training fleet and received a new hangar at its Al Ain operational base in September 2026. The academy plans to introduce nine additional aircraft, bringing the Al Ain fleet to ten aircraft by early 2027.
