Iowa, USA – Vertical Vision Flight Academy, the Des Moines International Airport (KDSM)-based flight school, has launched a structured pilot pipeline program with Exec 1 Aviation, an Iowa-based FAA Part 135 charter operator, providing graduates with a guaranteed interview pathway to First Officer positions on Beechcraft Hawker and Bombardier Learjet charter aircraft.

The pipeline program offers Vertical Vision graduates who complete training from Private Pilot through Commercial Multi-Engine rating a formal placement into Exec 1 Aviation's qualified hiring pool, with guaranteed interviews for First Officer openings once minimum flight hour requirements are met.
The first two pipeline graduates have been hired as First Officers at Exec 1 Aviation, flying Beechcraft Hawkers as part of the charter operator's expanding fleet. Both built their flight hours as Certified Flight Instructors at Vertical Vision.
Exec 1 Aviation operates as an FAA-certificated Part 135 air carrier based in Ankeny, Iowa, providing on-demand charter, JetCard membership, and FBO services with operations spanning the Midwest, East Coast, and West Coast.
The partnership complements Vertical Vision's recent growth milestones including the Piper Flight School Alliance Program membership, AOPA 2026 Iowa Best Flight School award, and new hangar facility opening — positioning the school as one of Iowa's most active professional pilot development platforms.
