Iowa, USA – Vertical Vision Flight Academy, a Des Moines-based flight school, has been accepted into the Piper Flight School Alliance Program. The academy now becomes the primary Piper Alliance training partner in Iowa, offering students access to a modern fleet of 2025 Piper aircraft equipped with Garmin G1000NXi avionics systems.

  • Alliance membership was secured following Vertical Vision’s acquisition of a 2025 Piper Seminole and multiple G1000NXi-equipped Piper Archers.
  • The Piper Flight School Alliance Program is a selective partnership that verifies flight schools operating current-generation Piper aircraft with high instructional quality and maintenance standards.
  • Vertical Vision’s fleet now provides a consistent training progression—from Private through Commercial and Multi-Engine Ratings—using identical avionics platforms, streamlining student adaptation and skill transfer.
  • The Piper G1000NXi avionics suite mirrors systems used in commercial and corporate aircraft, supporting familiarity with integrated flight decks, autopilot operations, GPS navigation, and MFD systems.
  • Students benefit from Alliance program support, including access to Piper engineering, prioritized technical service, and nationally developed training materials used across the Piper network.
  • The central Iowa location provides access to controlled Class C airspace, diverse seasonal weather conditions, and moderate traffic density, creating a dynamic but manageable training environment.
