Irish Airline Selects 4 of its Future Pilot Program Students from Dublin-based Pilot Training Organization
ASG, an EASA Approved Training Organisation based in Dublin, Ireland shared that four (4) of its ASG ATPL theory students have been selected for the esteemed “Future Pilot Programme” with Aer Lingus, out of only eighteen spots available.
“This remarkable achievement showcases their exceptional dedication, skill, and the high-quality of training provided at ASG,” said ASG. “These talented future aviators are now set to begin a remarkable journey to Jerez for further training. Upon completion, they will join the ranks of Aer Lingus as First Officers on the Airbus A320.”
Back in July 2023 Aer Lingus, the national airline of Ireland, announced its 2024 fully-sponsored cadet pilot programme known as ‘Future Pilot Programme’.
Successful candidates will begin a very intensive training program lasting over 14 months in collaboration with the airlines preferred flight training school, FTE Jerez, in the south of Spain. The future pilots will then return to Aer Lingus to commence a type rating course on the Airbus A320 family of aircraft and begin a long career as a pilot with Aer Lingus.
Graduates will receive a Multi Pilot Commercial Licence and a position in the right-hand seat of the airlines Airbus A320 Aircraft.
The airline will be aiming to recruit 90 aspiring pilots over the next five years.
