Irish Pilot Training Organisation Expands Cross-Border Collaboration with Polish Partner in 2025

November 2, 2025

Ireland & Poland – Airline Flight Academy (AFA), one of Ryanair’s official training partner, has strengthened its ties with the Central European training market through a recent visit to Goldwings Flight Academy, a well-known Polish flight school operating bases in Warsaw and Kraków. The visit also included representatives from Buzz, the Warsaw-based low-cost carrier and Ryanair subsidiary, highlighting continued collaboration within the Ryanair Holdings training ecosystem.

  • The visit aimed to explore potential training partnerships and align cadet development pathways between AFA and Goldwings Flight Academy, enhancing access to airline-focused training opportunities for Polish and Central European pilots.
  • Buzz, formerly known as Ryanair Sun, operates under the Ryanair Group alongside Ryanair DAC, Ryanair UK, Malta Air, and Lauda Europe, and regularly sources pilots from AFA’s training programmes.
  • The engagement comes shortly after AFA launched its Dual EASA and UK CAA Approved APS MCC course, designed to provide graduates with certification recognised by both European and UK aviation authorities.
  • The dual-approved Airline Pilot Standard MCC course begins on 24 November 2025 at AFA’s Dublin Training Centre, with an introductory price of €6,499, offering competitive value for a dual-licence qualification.
