Italy – Cantor Air, an Italian flight training organization, has announced at Pilot Expo the acquisition of three new Tecnam P2006T NG (Next Generation) twin-engine aircraft, reinforcing its multi-engine training capacity with deliveries scheduled for early 2027.
- The P2006T NG integrates with Cantor Air’s existing Tecnam fleet, including the P2010 TDI and P2008 JC, ensuring technological and avionics continuity throughout the training syllabus.
- All three aircraft will be equipped with the Garmin G1000 NXi suite, aligning cockpit philosophy across single- and multi-engine platforms and supporting structured progression toward instrument and airline-oriented operations.
- The platform includes an advanced Flight Management System (FMS), supporting exposure to airline-style avionics logic at an earlier stage in pilot development.
- Powered by Rotax 912iS engines with electronic fuel injection, the P2006T NG offers reduced fuel consumption and improved operating efficiency compared to many legacy twin-engine trainers—an important consideration amid rising fuel costs and sustainability pressures.
