Italy’s Professional Aviation Begins September Intake with 33 Student Pilots

Italy – Bologna-based flight training organisation Professional Aviation Academy has welcomed 33 new students in its September 2026 intake, adding another cohort to an operation that has continued expanding its student numbers, training fleet and international training activity during 2025 and 2026.

• The new intake comprises 33 students beginning training at Professional Aviation’s FlyOzzano Airfield campus in Ozzano dell’Emilia near Bologna. The academy’s website had listed its September 2026 course start as fully booked, with the next published intake scheduled for January 19, 2027.
• The September cohort is larger than Professional Aviation’s May 2026 intake of approximately 20 students and its January 2026 intake of 30 students, illustrating continued enrollment activity across the academy’s 2026 training calendar.
• Professional Aviation currently states that it operates more than 30 training aircraft and employs more than 30 full-time flight instructors. Its fleet covers single-engine, multi-engine, aerobatic and helicopter training and includes Tecnam P92, P2008 and P2006 aircraft, alongside Mudry CAP 10 and Guimbal Cabri G2 equipment.
• The academy’s professional pilot pathway is structured around EASA training from initial licensing through ATPL theory, hour building, night rating, multi-engine, instrument, CPL, A-UPRT and MCC/APS MCC phases. Professional Aviation states that its modular ATPL pathway is designed for completion in approximately 24 months for students starting with no previous flight experience.
• Professional Aviation reported approximately 18,000 flight hours during 2025 and nearly 60 new CPL graduates, after recording approximately 16,000 hours in 2024. The academy also added more than ten new Tecnam aircraft during 2025 as training activity increased.
• Its training infrastructure expanded further with the introduction of an ALSIM AL2006 simulator, designed around the Tecnam P2006T NG and configurable to EASA FNPT II standards. The device incorporates Garmin G1000 NXi avionics, active control loading and a 210° × 50° visual system.
• AFM previously reported that Professional Aviation welcomed approximately 20 students in May 2026 and subsequently received 18 Air Arabia Academy cadets in July for training in Italy.
