Italy – Airways Aviation Italy's Professione Volare, an Italian Approved Training Organisation (ATO), has welcomed its third Integrated Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) class at its Milan Malpensa campus in October 2026, continuing its professional pilot training activity at the Volandia aviation training centre.

  • The new intake comprises 7 student pilots, with the academy's training schedule identifying 12 October 2026 as the course start date at Milan Malpensa.
  • The Integrated ATPL course runs for approximately 18 months and is designed for both ab initio students and existing Private Pilot Licence (PPL) holders, leading toward Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) privileges with Instrument Rating (IR), ATPL theoretical knowledge qualifications and Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) training.
  • Professione Volare has scheduled its next Integrated ATPL intake for 25 January 2027 at its Forlì training base, listed as the school's 54th course.
  • The Integrated ATPL syllabus includes 750 hours of theoretical instruction, 75 hours of single-engine VFR training, 95 hours of single-engine IFR training, 10 hours of multi-engine IFR training, 3 hours of Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT), and 15 hours of MCC instruction using an FNPT II simulator.
  • AFM previously reported that Airways Aviation Italy opened its Milan Malpensa training centre within the Volandia Aviation Museum in March 2025. The facility was established to provide EASA ATPL ground theory, foundation courses and other aviation education activities alongside the group's practical flight training operations.
